More Deserved Coverage For EastEnders’ ‘Emoji Karla Jackson!’
Former reality TV star Colton Underwood revealed that he kissed a contestant on Monday night’s episode of ABC’s The Bachelor, which saw the brunette contestant receive an unexpected kiss from Colton’s BFF Tadhg Kennelly.
The Seattle native told Billy Bush of Access Hollywood Live that he was “confused” about his sexuality in the past, but that didn’t stop him from kissing Kirpa Sudick, who appeared on the popular dating reality show. He joked, “I was confused for a long time. I didn’t know.”
While Sudick hasn’t commented on the move in any social media posts, Colton didn’t go into detail about the kiss.
“Kirpa and I both felt that we were in a very vulnerable, really special place in our relationship,” he revealed. “Obviously, we didn’t really know what was going to happen going into Monday’s episode. The answers we got were the same answers we got throughout the entire season. We both felt really good about it, and we actually kissed right there in the woods.”
It was a bit of a surprise to viewers, who suspected an lesbian kiss since it took place between two former contestants that had participated on the previous season of The Bachelorette. The pair competed for Becca Kufrin’s heart in 2018, and both women chose Colton at the conclusion of the season.
“I think the audience expected something like that, but we both are such open people,” he continued. “I think that’s such a fun part of the Bachelor world, to kind of surprise people.”
The Bachelor: Colton Underwood, Desiree Hartsock and The Bachelorette: Becca Kufrin will air on the network on April 16.
